(V&EG) is a leading services supplier who provides solutions for the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Food, and Medical Devices industries in the following areas: Laboratory, Compliance, Computer, Engineering, Project Management, Validation, and other services.
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design, development, and implementation of automated systems. This role requires expertise in programming, code modification, and hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation equipment and SCADA systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing industrial processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify code to optimize automated systems and improve process efficiency.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions using Rockwell Automation hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, and drives.
- Program and troubleshoot SCADA systems to ensure effective process control and real-time monitoring.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and documentation of code changes to maintain system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation improvement.
- Analyze system requirements, processes, and equipment to recommend and implement technical solutions.
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and calibrations on Rockwell and SCADA equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams.
- Ensure all automation processes comply with safety and industry standards.
- Maintain documentation for automated systems, including diagrams, code annotations, and system updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (three (3) years or more) with Rockwell Automation equipment (e.g., Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs) and SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and other relevant code for industrial automation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in code modification and system debugging.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Rockwell Automation or SCADA systems.
- Experience in the food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of networking and communication protocols in industrial automation (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
